Hi. C Masters is correct, you would use the PMT function to calculate the monthly payment. My formula is just slightly different, as you do not have to physically multiply B*F5 as you will see below. Multiplying the 2 together will also change your monthly payment result.First you have to make sure you have the proper figures in all cells mentioned in your question.
In cell B23 would be your annual interest rate
In cell B24 is the number 12 (for 12 months of course)
In cell F5 (loan term) is the number of months the loan is for (ex:360, which is a 30 year loan)
In cell l5 is the amount of loan you are making the payments on (ex: 385,000)In cell J5 your function would be:
=PMT(B/B,F5,l5)As you can see you are dividing the annual interest (B23) by the 12 months (B24), loan term (F5), your balance due (l5).

A Circular reference refers to the same cell reference used in the formula in the same cell so if cell I5 has a formula like =I5  I5 then the formula can't deduce the equation on itself.You are best to read all the functions and how they work. having others do your homework will not help you learn anything.
I think that the function Min finds the lowest number, the function Ave is for Averages, and Max is for the highest value, but I've never use the Median function so I don't know what is used, perhaps Med?

Without seeing it, hard to do..
Couple of points:
1) Interest rate/12 should also be divided by 100 (usually). That is, 12% interest is 0.12/12*principle (meaning 0.01 * principle per month. This is not clear in #3 if the number is "%" (ie 12%) or the actual rate (ie 0.12)
2) Vlookup requires the search column to be alphabetically sorted. It may fail otherwise in finding the right answer.#1 G5 = F5*0.07
#2 H5 = G5+F5
#3 I5 = $D/12 (and maybe/100) and look up load payment function in Excel.After that, do your own homework
