As clouds of hesitancy concentrate around the IT outsourcing arena, enterprises across business verticals have started exploring alternate models of off-shoring.

As a matter of fact, outsourcing is posing as a big-ticket expenditure item, as offshore contracts account for up to 20 per cent of an enterprise's total IT expenditure. And though cost savings is the foremost reason for which IT firms outsources projects, the actual savings turn out to be only about 15 per cent. Furthermore, the difference between offshore and onshore labor costs is curtailing. As a result, the original concept of outsourcing has hit the downhill and businesses are exceedingly exploring alternate models.

Eyeing the eroding profits resulting out of typical outsourcing contracts, some major models that are being taken into consideration are as follows:

Selective Multi-sourcing: Multi-sourcing is considered to be the most apt way to outsource services, as it ensures that each outsourced task gets 'best-of-the-breed' services. However, many organizations find this model daunting, as it is intricate to manage multiple vendors in a single work environment that is interconnected. However, over the period of time organizations have strengthened their governance capabilities and developed internal organizations for vendor management. These internal agencies prevent value leakage by overseeing particular outsourcing vendors. With a noteworthy increase in maturity and experience, various organizations have pulled up their socks to take up multi-sourcing responsibilities. Another variation seen in the traditional self-governed model is the hiring of a third party to oversee and control the governance of multi-vendor environment.

In-sourcing: The concept of in-sourcing has picked up steam especially in cases where customer satisfaction or service delivery issues have cropped up time and again. This model is being increasingly adopted by organizations that have sour relations with their outsourcing vendors or are finding it challenging to manage outsourcing transactions. Organizations usually make this decision depending upon the type of service and continually outsource the 'towers' for which service provider is rendering satisfactory efficiencies. In this model, all major in-sourced activities are removed from the scope of the IT outsourcing company. This requires the scope contract to be revised, including renegotiation of related conditions and associated terms. Organizations need to be mindful that the resulting contract should clearly demarcate outsourced and freshly in-sourced functions. Despite of all major benefits, in-sourcing comes with its own set of downsides as well. Thus, companies should carefully weigh the decision of in-sourcing.

Captive Offshore Centers: Multinational companies pioneered the concept of captive offshore centers in the early 1980s. While cost-saving is an overriding benefit of this model, it also bestows upon organizations the freedom to safeguard and retain their data, key processes and skills. It also enables them to steer their operations in a strategic direction, rather than depending upon a third party for making leadership decisions. Though examples of successful captive offshore centers are easy to locate, some companies find it challenging to hire labor for their work centers when juxtaposed with global outsourcing leaders, and thus are unable to deliver similar service quality and work efficiency. With the changing scenario, however, as the growth of offshore service vendors has steeped low, companies are able to bag in best resources from the offshore talent pool that can operate locally at a long-term basis. This model is not suited for small scale firms but can prove highly attractive for multinationals, which have devised plans to establish and foster their marketing horizon in the offshore locations. It also gives organizations a chance to absorb work culture of a particular area.

As off-shoring and IT outsourcing fails to generate expected cost-savings every web development company is looking forward to alternate models as the next big thing.

How dare a visiting President Calderon be allowed?
to speak against the AZ law? And what is his country doing to STOP these illegals from entering?

    • ANSWER:
Obama stood right next to him and denounced the law as well...did you expect anything else from our President?

The lawsuits wont hold up in court, they will al be thrown out. The Bill is only 10 pages, wont take more than a few hours for any half decent lawyer to rip it apart...its been weeks so obviously they cant find anything wrong with it. You dont think the White House has a team of lawyers looking to rip it apart? Obama said he`s going to challenege it in court, for a 10 page bill its taking awefully long to do so.

  3. QUESTION:
Would a coyote attack a human walking three medium to large sized dogs?
I hike with my three Australian shepherds in the White Tank Mountains in Arizona. I live in Surprise, Az and have seen coyotes run right up to people walking their dogs ( but they only walk one). So I am just wondering if I am at risk even though I am walking with a pack of my own. And if so how do prevent or handle an attack?

    • ANSWER:
Although it would be unlikely that a coyote would attack you or your three large dogs, it is very important to keep them all on leashes less than 6 feet long. The reason that these coyotes are approaching people walking dogs may be that they are investigating the dogs as a threat to their territory. During the coyote breeding season (December/January through March), coyotes are very territorial and will investigate dogs (especially unleashed dogs) walking through their territory. Sometimes they will follow people and dogs until they determine that the dog is not a threat. During the coyote pupping season (April/May through August), coyotes may have dens with pups nearby and may again view unleashed dogs in their territory as a threat. This is why it's so important to keep your dogs on a leash and to haze (scare) away any coyote that you see. 4. QUESTION:
Does this explain why Pro's keep bringing up Natives, and comparing themselves to Natives?
This is a report of gang activities throughout the US, it is non racist and lists activities of Outlaw white motercycle gangs, Black, Latino/Hispanic, Asian, and Russian street gangs.
On page "vii" of the report it shows that Hispanic gangs are spreading and the violence is growing as the numbers of Hispanics grows, and they are going onto the Indian Reservations and recruting young impressionable Natives as drug distributers and mules.
I question if the pro's try to claim kinship with the Natives to influence them as well as recruit innocents to their cause and drug business.

    Incidently, La Raza is listed.

    My question has two points.
Are the Hispanic gangs using this so called shared ethnic roots with the Natives to take advantage of them, and does the growth of these violent Hispanic gangs have anything to do with the growth of illegal Mexicans in the US?

Any pro's want to answer with something other than calling me a racist?

    • ANSWER:
Their is a shared Ethnic roots

The Pacific Northwest nations are linguistically related to language families found outside of that area, including the widespread Ritwan- Algonkian, Pentian, Uto- Aztecan, and Dine-Athapskan groups. It should be noted that the recent territory of the Shoshone and Northern Paiute-Bannock nations commenced only a short distance south and southeast of the Kennewick site. The Shoshone-Paiute-Bannock languages are related to those of the Hopi, Aztecs and other people as far south as Nicaragua.

Hispanic gangs existed in Los Angeles and most Southwestern cities back to the 1940s, As the gang problem worsen Los Angeles exiled gang members to other Hispanic populated cities, these member formed Los Angeles styled Gangs all over the Southwest. Also Central American Immigrates that had gang affiliations were deported back to their countries starting the Gang culture in Central America.

  5. QUESTION:
Does granting amnesty to illegal immigrants solve our immigration issues?
We already passed one amnesty bill under President Bush's term in office. Obviously we are still dealing with the same immigration issue today as we did then. Why does obama think passing another amnesty bill is going to solve the problem?

    • ANSWER:
      1. According to the Immigration Department and the Census, a very large majority of the illegal aliens are from Mexico.

      2. Because the jobs the illegal aliens take pay less than minimum wage, they are forced to move to welfare, and they are eligible for all State Funded Welfare Programs, AND.. Federal Welfare efforts that contribute to the State Welfare effort. Oh yes... they DO get Federal Welfare funds.

      3. Before the illegal aliens came, American Citizens picked the crops (me included and many more like me.. the field was white.. not brown). The illegal aliens are stealing jobs that are less than perfect, but they are jobs and better than the nothing most folks have. In addition, the people hiring illegal aliens frequently abuse them in the fields.. you cannot do that to the American Citizens, and I do not want my country associated with the criminals that hire illegal aliens, and abuse them. I have seen, for example, crops dusted with illegal aliens in them. This link provides a good backgrounder on the abuse of the major growers in California, but also in AZ, NM, TX.
      http://www.ufw.org/_page.php?inc=researc…

      4. At this point, I have seen a dozen people in menial jobs with H1B visas. They had a trainee sandwich maker at a major casino in Reno that was from El Salvador. The process of using government identifications to bring low wage replacements for American Workers has been abused a very long time. The lady was NOT earning enough to rent an apartment in Reno either, and had to live with other people. But she was also eligible for welfare. Abuse, abuse, abuse in this field, and nothing stopped it to this point, nor will in the future. NO to Government I.D.s.

One very real problem with some businesses in the United States is that they have been bought, or assumed for debt by foreign nationals, and they want to get labor costs down. They hire illegals, or play the system and bring sandwich makers in from El Salvador and STILL pay them less than the going minimum wage while the employee collect welfare. We need a system that is on the up and up and we don't have it.

It is almost as though people Like Schumer of New York, Durbin of Illinois and Reid of Nevada desperately need to cheat the American People to keep their jobs. It is sickening. Old Graham of Virginia is in there too making ugly comments about the American People. Lets get that stopped, and then we take a look at what we need.

And yes.. their is a lot of rancor. You need to read the references that people provide and then you will understand and will be able to intelligently deal with the issue.

  7. QUESTION:
How much more rhetoric will we see tomorrow?
This Loughner guy sure got what he wanted. In 3 days he has completely divided the country, he has helped increase the rhetoric by 10-fold, he has completely scared a majority of the members of Congress AND (the worst) he has everybody talking about him.

If this guy is able to watch TV right now, I guarantee he whakin' it to what he, alone, caused.

    What will tomorrow bring?

    • ANSWER:
The more I listen to her excuses regarding putting Gifford's district in the crossfires of a rifle the more she makes me sick. I have really got to say that she has to take some of the responsibility for this tragedy. This is what pure ignorance leads to. Of course, you can't post anything negative on her page, she doesn't like that. How American!

Sarah Palin will be on tv crying crocodile tears and blaming the media for saying she has any responsibility in this... COUNT ON IT!!!!!

I don't think this will be a situation where people DON'T jump to conclusions just because Palin makes it her job to be so vocal about violence. This is one of those situations where she made a very public act of violence, and now it's come true. NO way around people making their own assumptions.

A 9 year old CHILD was killed in the AZ shooting. Spare me the 2nd amendment bs today on this tragedy.

Sarah's an amateur and it's too bad she won't even be considered for the 2012 race. (What a wonderful gift to the Democrats her candidacy would have been.) Scrubbing her offensive map, facebooking and tweeting responses, sending out inexperienced hack staff to represent her, and emailing Glenn Beck are pretty lame responses in the face of a tsunami of negative public opinion. Is all this due to her lack of experience, or lack of education...or both?

This is a perfect example of what a Palin White House would be like. Having everyone do everything for her, not overseeing their actions, not taking responsibility for her words or her actions, playing victim, blaming everyone else for anything that goes wrong. She's nothing but a talking head.

  8. QUESTION:
What evidence do astronomers have that stars really do evolve?

    • ANSWER:
Try 5000 years of written observations as thousands of data points and do a statistical analysis of all that data. The sample size is sufficient, and more observation and analysis just keep confirming that the theories of star evolution are correct. The 1054 B.C. supernova that created the Crab Nebula was recorded by Chinese astronomers.

"...Supernova 1054 - Creation of the Crab Nebula
On July 4, 1054 A.D., Chinese astronomers noted a "guest star" in the constellation Taurus; Simon Mitton lists 5 independent preserved Far-East records of this event (one of 75 authentic guest stars - novae and supernovae, excluding comets - systematically recorded by Chinese astronomers between 532 B.C. and 1064 A.D., according to Simon Mitton). This star became about 4 times brighter than Venus in its brightest light, or about mag -6, and was visible in daylight for 23 days.
Some older sources had speculated that this supernova might have been as bright as the Full Moon (or mag -12). The reason for this assumption was probably the intention to fit its 23-day visibility with older model lightcurves.

It was probably also recorded by Anasazi Indian artists (in present-day Arizona and New Mexico), as findings in Navaho Canyon and White Mesa (both AZ, found 1953-54 by William C. Miller) as well as in the Chaco Canyon National Park (NM) indicate; there's a review of the research on the Chaco Canyon Anasazi art online, including the full-size version of our photo, which was obtained by Ron Lussier. A similar photo of this possible Supernova Pictograph was obtained by Paul Charbonneau of the High Altitude Observatory.

As Simon Mitton points out in his book (Mitton 1978), evidence for the plausibility of this interpretation arises from the fact that on the morning of July 5, 1054 the crescent moon came remarkably close to the supernova, as seen (only) from Western North America.

In 1990, Ralph Robert Robbins of the University of Texas announced the discovery of additional records in pottery of the Mimbres Indians of New Mexico. The plate probably representing the supernova is e.g. shown on page 68 of Robert Garfinkle's book Star Hopping. As the author lines out, the art style of this plate was used only before 1100 A.D., and carbon-14 dating indicates that this plate was created between 1050 and 1070 AD, so that very probably the supernova is depicted, as a 23-rayed star.

Strangely enough, it seems that at least almost no records of European or Arab observations of the supernova have survived to modern times. ...

...These two dates, July 4, 1054, and April 17, 1056, indicate that the "guest star" was visible to the naked eye for 653 days, at least from China. Yang Wei-Te, Chinese court astronomer/astrologer in those days, reports that in its first two months, the star was of yellow color.

The date of the occurrance of the supernova 1054, July 4, has repeatedly been questioned on various occasions, as it might have been that the Chinese observers may have missed the very first days, e.g. due to weather. A Japanese source (the poet Sadiae Fujiwara about 1235 AD) shifts this date to as early as May 29, but on this day the star Zeta Tauri, which is mentioned in this report, is still too close to the sun to be observable. ..."

  19. QUESTION:
Is it still patriotic to question and protest the president?

    • ANSWER:
Yes, it is very patriotic to question the administration when you are genuinely concerned about its policies. The M.S.M. refuses to report it. This is why Old Media is dying. The Los Angeles Times today recycles press releases, but refused to report 15k Fullterton anti-tax protest. The paper has no problem serving as advance publicity team for radical Left groups, but when 15,000 people turn out to lambaste tax-and-spend politicians in both parties in Fullerton, CA, it’s not news. LA Times… ACORN edition.

The national media has ignored the tax revolt movement against the porkulus package, omni-pork spending bill, and bottomless bailouts that began in Seattle on President’s Day; continued in Denver on the day of the Generational Theft Act signing; spread to Mesa AZ during President Obama’s massive mortgage entitlement push; spurred protest in Overland Park KS; and evolved into the Tea Party movement across the country.

But local politicians and local newspapers/TV are definitely on notice. Thousands of folks converging in places like St. Louis (1,500), Greenville (2,000), Fullerton (est. 15,000), and Cincinnati (5,000) are getting harder to ignore.

And now, it seems, word is getting around in Washington. The White House, the NYTimes (which has mocked the tax revolters) tells us, is worried about a populist backlash against bailout-mania. o_O

This is going on nationwide but liberal media down plays or ignores completely.

Looking for information on a deceased relative?
Looking for information on the parents of Tina M. Elliot?
Born: September 25, 1872 in Mt. Pleasant Iowa
Died: April 10, 1947 in Phoenix, Arizona
    Married: to Richard Simis

    • ANSWER:
That is a tough one. The informant on her death certificate was Charles E Simis and he didn't know the name of her parents when he gave the information on her death certificate.

      http://genealogy.az.gov/azdeath/079/10792224.pdf

Her sons death certificate lists her maiden name as Elliott. Mt Pleasant, Iowa is located in Henry County Iowa.

Here is Tina in 1900 in Mt Pleasant, Iowa
Source Citation: Year: 1900; Census Place: Center, Henry, Iowa; Roll: T623 436; Page: 7A; Enumeration District: 30.

In 1885, the family lived in Warren County, Iowa according to the Iowa STATE census

William Age 6 W M Born in IA
      Effie B Age 4 W F Born in IA
      Darwin H Age 1 W M Born in IA

These censuses lead me to believe that Tina might have been born in either Lucas or Warren County, instead of Henry County, Iowa..the county that Mt. Pleasant is in. Lucas County might also be a good place to look for a marriage record for Isaac and Annie.

I hope these censuses help to illustrate how mobile this family was. Good luck.

Many teachers, especially at the middle and elementary school levels, find that planning the selection of learning activities, and the instruction itself, can be more easily and effectively accomplished by building a unit around a theme or a topic…teachers often include ideas from several content areas in their thematic units, thus developing an interdisciplinary thematic unit.

  25. QUESTION:
What do think of the AZ immigration law?
    WHY?
    WHY NOT?
Do you know it is the same as the federal Law?
    cast a vote
    http://world-news.newsvine.com/_question/2010/05/12/4274124-do-you-support-arizonas-tough-new-law-on-illegal-immigration
The link I posted gives you a chance to vote on a national level.
I guess goofy was why not but he goofed up.
Viva are you saying breaking the law is Christian, American and constitutional? Do you work for Obama?

    • ANSWER:
I just went through this conversation with a lawyer and he said that the law is not a bad law. Since the Federal Government is not doing the job AZ took it upon them to proactively do it for them.

Most people I know have not even read the law.

      1. On the first page it states that no agency, city or county can enforce the law with anything less than the maximum allowed penalties by the law. Much of it does copy the federal law. Even Immigration ICE does not do that, they have authority to use their discretion You can be fined, jailed and deported but most of the time if they are caught crossing it is only a class B misdemeanor and they are deported. (It is breaking of Federal Criminal law if they are caught crossing)

      2. Arizona has taken a Federal Civil infraction and made it criminal under state law. "Unlawful Presence" is only CIVIL not Criminal. This includes all the people that made it over the border without getting caught and all the people (40%) that have expired visas. (See source)

2A. The lawyer said this was not prudent on the part of the State since with CIVIL they just deport you and you don't have the right to a jury trial. Since AZ has made it criminal the people can actually ask for a Jury trial and lawyers are happy about this and gearing up for it because it will be a money maker and it will also end up costing the State loads of money.

      3. The law allows for Police to bypass the "Warrant" process if they have reasonable suspicion This is a bit concerning since it can affect US Citizens from time to time and we already know that several police departments in AZ have pushed the line as far as their authority goes and overstepped it several times so opening this up may have unintended consequences This could be used and abused but if they are very careful it could be a good tool for them as well in order to put criminals away.

      4. The racial profiling is not the big deal people are making it out to be although it could lead to issues because what gives a person reasonable suspicion If they are Speaking spanish is that a good enough reason? Because they look brown? People from Puerto Rico are US Citizens and many of the older people don't even speak English yet they are US Citizens and the law states that Legal Perm Residents to carry ID but US Citizens are not required to have ID so they could be stopped and detained at the pleasure of a police department until a family member could bring their ID to prove they are Citizens. If they are just standing there can police stop them and question them. Will a policeman stop 13 white people to every one brown person and ask for their papers as well? This is what activists are saying should happen to make it proper. (and not call it racial profiling)

      5. Many of the Police departments throughout the country are concerned because people will be afraid of the police officers and will not want to report crimes, be witnesses be involved in the community for fear of being deported, put in jail and separated from their families so Police Departments from all over the US are meeting to discuss these issues and recently a man was arrested and deported back east where here reported a crime and so undocumented people may now have more reasons not to stop for an accident or get involved in crime reporting.

      6. Officers are worried that with their current duties adding additional things to their job descriptions will overload them and make them less effective in what they should be doing as far as protecting the community. It is interesting how the departments even within the state differ on this point. One Police Chief in AZ said he does not have the funds or the resources to enforce the law as they are asking him to do it. Before he was just trying to arrest criminals and now this will add a whole new aspect to their current duties.

      7. It is true that if your a construction worker in AZ your wages have gone up and that indicates that the law is making a difference. Many people are leaving the state. This is true although what you don't hear in conjunction with this is that cost of construction has also gone up so the price of labor will be a factor in many areas. It will be a great example for the rest of the US as to how this works for them.

      8. On page one it states clearly the objective to push the undocumented people out through attrition and the US has not typically had this type of attitude "Squeeze you so hard you have to leave" This affects US Citizens that are part of the undocumented people's family as well complicating the issue.

  26. QUESTION:
hey can any one tell me the prefixes for the state of az with the area code 623?
i had a friend who had died but i lost his num but i only remember his area code and the last four digit but i dont remember the 3num that comes after the area code which is the prefix can any 1 tell me he lives in az and his area code is 623

    • ANSWER:
There are many - You'd do better to call information and ask for your friend's phone number. You could also do a search for "white pages" on the internet and enter your friend's name to receive their phone number.

  27. QUESTION:
i need to know a good vet in tucson az to take my cat to i need to get her fixed.?
i am also curious about how much it will cost me.

    • ANSWER:
As far as finding a "good" vet, the best way is to get referrals from family and friends.

As for as cost - it could range from something like to 0. It depends upon the vet and how much pre-surgical testing they want to do to, as they put it ". . . make sure the cat is healthy enough to be spayed."

We had a female spayed for dollars about 6 months ago - dollars for the surgery and for some basic blood work. She was a feral kitten we were still working on to tame and the only blood work we had done so far was tests for the "nasty things" such as FIP or leukemia, before we allowed her any contact with our other cats.

We had the vet do the additional testing to use as as base data for comparisons to other blood work done later. The vet would have spayed her for only , they did not require the testing.

There are low cost spay procedures available, you just have to look around.

Do a Google search on: "low cost" spay OR neuter cat city state

Put the double quotes around the words low cost, put the OR In upper case like I show it and, replace city and state with your city or state or the city and state of cities or towns near you.

You should find local organizations who provide low cost spay procedures. You may be surprised to learn how many are around.

Get the yellow pages telephone directory. Look under animal shelters, animal clinics, animal hospitals, humane societies, vets - start calling and tell them you need to find a spay you can afford.

Be ready for the calls, write down what you are going to say:

"I have a female cat who needs to be spayed but I don't have much money to spend on it. Can you help me with a low cost spay or can you tell me someone who can?'

Grab the white pages, look under Humane Society. Call them and ask if they have a program called SNIP - Spay, Neuter Initiative Program

They have that program here, in St. Louis, MO, and they may have it where you are. You have to ask for it, it will not be on their voice prompt telephone system.

Look under ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and call them. Look under APA (Animal Protective Association) and call them.

If you are in the UK, look for the RSPCA. There is a UK charity vet medical organization named PDSA http://www.pdsa.org.uk/

Beat the bushes for a low cost spay operation - they are out there.

  28. QUESTION:
How can I get a divorce in this situation?
I know now that I need a divorce, but I'm afraid of my husband and I have no money. I mean like there's maybe 0 in our account on any given day. His is the main name on the account and he can cut me off if he suspects anything. He's threatened to take the kids and run, regardless of any restraining order that I may get. I don't know of any shelters, and my closest family lives in another state and knows nothing of what our relationship is really like. He has family that will help him, and he gets physically violent. I'm so scared for me and the kids, and we have no money. (we're in AZ)

  29. QUESTION:
Beginner tumbling classes in surprise, Az ?
I'm 14, I have no experience (cant even do a cartwheel!) and I'm a freshman. I want to be on the varsity cheer team next year (big goal!) I am very self motivated(: is there any beginner tumbling/cheer classes in or near surprise, az?

    • ANSWER:
Pretty much any gym that has tumbling classes will have some type of beginners class. Go on white pages of google gyms in your area. I will have to warn you that the kids in that tumbling class are prob gonna be around 3 or 4 years old so you might want to take a private class. It is a big goal but if you work hard you can accomplish anything :)

  30. QUESTION:
Why can't I find record of my GGGrandFather's death?
Stephen P. Williamson was born in 1856 Arkansas. I found him in a census in 1860 with his family there. I found him in 1876 when he married in Texas. I found him in 1880 with his wife and some of his children in Texas Montague. I was told by my Father he died in Del Rio, Texas and then his wife, my GGGrandMother Betty (Welch)Williamson moved on to Bisbee, AZ. But I cannot find any record of his death. I believe he would have to have died after 1919 according my findings.

    • ANSWER:
Since Val Verede County is on the Mexican border, do you suppose that he could have died over the border in Mexico?

Wow, this family really is a challenge.

The first thing I found was a death certificate for Fonc Williamson, son of Steve Williamson and Betty Welch. He was born feb 19, 1883 in Arkansas and died May 4, 1940 in Wellbon, Yuma County, Arizona. I thought that this was a unique name so i thought i would try to follow him through the census. Here is a link to his death certificate:

      http://genealogy.az.gov/azdeath/063/10630535.pdf

His name is mistranscribed in the World War I draft cards. He is indexed as "Ford" rather than Fonc. The cards were completed in 1917-1918 and he was in Cochise county, Arizona proving that he was in the state before 1920.

World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918
      about Ford Williamson
      Name: Ford Williamson
      City: Not Stated
      County: Cochise
      State: Arizona
      Birth Date: 19 Feb 1882
      Race: White
      Roll: 1522348
      DraftBoard: 0

I couldn't find him in 1930, but I did find him living with his mother in 1920 in Cochise county, Arizona. Also in the house hold is his sister Maud. It clearly states that Mary E. (Betty a nickname for Elizabeth) is widowed.

Source Citation: Year: 1920;Census Place: McNeal, Cochise, Arizona; Roll: T625_46; Page: 3A; Enumeration District: 9; Image: 800.
      Indexed as Fanc S Williamson

Williamson, Fanc head male white 37 years old single born in Arkansas
Williamson, Mary E mother female white 60 years old widowed born in Texas
Williamson, Maud L sister female white 28 years old.

From this census, we would have to surmise that the family was there before 1920 and that Stephen P Williamson died prior to that.

I can't find the family in 1910. I do find his brother Noat in Menard county, Texas with wife Belle and two kids Steven L. and Olie. Steven was born in New mexico in 1904 creating yet another place to look for answers.

Source Citation: Year: 1910; Census Place: Justice Precinct 6, Menard, Texas; Roll: T624_1574; Page: 9A; Enumeration District: 162; Image: 1331.

By the time of the World War I draft cards, Noat was in cochise county too with brother Lonc. His card was signed on September 12, 1918.

World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918
      about Noat Arch Williamson
      Name: Noat Arch Williamson
      City: Not Stated
      County: Cochise
      State: Arizona
      Birth Date: 5 Nov 1879
      Race: White
      Roll: 1522348
      DraftBoard: 0

Virgil was also there in Coshise county according to his draft card completed on the same day, September 12, 1918.
World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918
      about Virgil Mair Williamson
      Name: Virgil Mair Williamson
      City: Not Stated
      County: Cochise
      State: Arizona
      Birth Date: 17 Jul 1884
      Race: White
      Roll: 1522348
      DraftBoard: 0

As you can see, you have several different directions you can go in. I'm pretty well convinced that Stephen died before 1920 because it seems like his family was in Arizona by 1918.

I think that finding him in 1910 may be key. He is definitely in Val Verde in 1900. Source Citation: Year: 1900; Census Place: Justice Precinct 3, Val Verde, Texas; Roll: T623 1675; Page: 5B; Enumeration District: 75.
He is not indexed by first name because it is illegible, but Noat for example is indexed as Notie A and Betty is indexed as Elizabeth.

I could send you any of the images listed above if you would like to have them. Just e-mail me through my profile.

  33. QUESTION:
What is happeing to hip-hop, why is this crap rap taking the hype?
I am deeply disapointed that once great music is converting into the worse music out there, geez I am downloading more rock than hip-hop and I dont like it one bit, i gotta say i am a white boy and i have deep apriciation for almost all music. But hip-hop, trance and rock are jammed packed in the pod. Every since I was a kid and laid ears on Biggie, Tribe called quest, mob deep, NWA, LOTU, Naughty by nature, Tupac, and great other, i fell in love with the music. But now all i hear is just garbage, it got me pissed that mobb deep joined with g-unit, but atleast game got out and produced two fine albums. I am just a condened music lover that a great genere of music is slowly fading into a bussiness made purley for profit.

    • ANSWER:
What's up man. I can relate definitely to what you are saying. I am also a "white boy" who became an instant fan of hip hop the second I heard 2Pac on his CD "All Eyez on Me". I then started listening to Biggie, Bone Thugz n Harmony, etc.

The fact is that your last statement probably sums it up the best: The industry is only going by what sells records. And although I won't be able to quote any sources, the fact is that most CD's are being bought by 13 year old girls. This also explains why "countdown" shows like 106 and Park have a majority of teenagers in the crowd, which in turn is going to be the audience that's choosing which music goes on the countdown. Unfortunately, this trend is not going to stop until the "13 year old" demographic decides to listen to some more intelligent music. What's more unfortunate is that this is never going to happen, lol. So in the mean time, keep some real sh*t bumping in your deck. I honestly have "All Eyez on Me", "Life After Death", Nas's "Illmatic" and Big L's "Lifestylez ov Da Poor and Dangerous" still in my disc changer. To me there hasn't been much of any recent hip hop worth listening to. But if you need some other names, try listening to Cormega, AZ, Mos Def (along with Talib Kweli when they were "Black Star"), and even Ludacris. There's good music out there if you look hard enough man.

if you knew him or his family your help is deeply apreciated!

    • ANSWER:
      Hey xsandybre...,

I think you really want to find a person, not perform Genealogy research. The principles are similar, except you are looking for a living person. Here are some sites you can try. Many of them are free. If the person, Jack, has his number unlisted, you may need to pay for information.

I searched the yahoo white pages, and it says they have no information, but the INTELIUS.COM has:

      JACK DRYE
      PHOENIX, AZ age 38

IF this is him, then Phoenix is the City, and his age is 38. You can pay Intellius for the information if you want. I would exhaust the other sites first.

      Switchboard.com says:
Jack DRYE - New Unlisted Number and Address Available
Public Records Jack DRYE includes Age, Date of Birth and Family Members

I am trying to find one of my old professors, and this is proving quite troublesome. I have tried several sites, and have found that his last know address was Tempe, AZ, but then when I search for his number in white pages it lists no results. I have found several sites that will allow me to pay for the info, but I don't know if I want to pay up to .95 just to talk to an old professor/friend. Please tell me there is a free way to get phone numbers which aren't listed in white pages....

  38. QUESTION:
How would I find this person?
My best friend has never met her father. She remembers sending him letters and talking to him on the phone when she was little, but that's about it. She is 19 now and she wants to find him or at least talk to him the phone. Her mother only remembers his name, but has no idea how to spell his last name and where he lived at the time. He sister remembers his name too, his race, what state he lived in, and what he looks like, but again, she has no idea how to spell his last name either. They don't have an address. Only that he used to live in AZ. They have no phone number. Nothing else but a first name and a guess on his last name.

Is there any way to find her dad? Could she call the child support agency and they give her the information on him? Or could they at least contact him for her just in case he doesn't want to see her?

We both have tried looking him up on facebook, white pages, bing.com, and some of those people searching websites as well.

Please only serious answers and thanks to those who at least try to help.
Her parents were never married. And she has gotten different stories from her mom and sister. Her mom said that her dad didn't want her, but her sister tells her different. She said that her dad did want her, but it was her mom that sent him away. My friend wants to believe both, but mostly, just to find her dad. Thanks for the answers so far.

    • ANSWER:
Well if they remember his name you can search it in google with all possible spellings of the name. With her sisters information you could probably talk to a police officer & they could help. Call the phone company and see If Maby they have records that date back to then. Good luck to you and your friend !!

  41. QUESTION:
25 Anti-Obama protest across the nation this summer. (Is it true) ?
I heard it, while switching stations on the radio.
    Is it true ?
Does anyone have a link ?

    • ANSWER:
Yes, it is true. The M.S.M. refuses to report it.

  50. QUESTION:
Tucson AZ, Looking for drug rehab?
Looking for a rehab facility that actually helps and takes state insurance.

    • ANSWER:
Good for you going into a Treatment Center. I was a treatmemt counselor for over 25yrs in MO. The fastest way to find a treatment center that meets your requirements is to call the United Way Office in your area. Ask them to look up a treatment center in their referal book. Another way to find a treatment center is to go to the White Pages and look up Mental Health Facilities Arizona. Call the main number for Mental Health Facilty Deptartment of the Director. You should be able to speak to the director and let that person know that you receive State Funded Insurance and then a brief Ruit is vista to have n down on drug usage. There is nothing wrong with being very specific in what you are looking for exactly. I don't know if you have been in treatment previously, but treatment is stressful at its best, so having things that you like about a treatment center will help ensure the likelihood that you will stay and complete the program and if it is close to your home it is likely that family and friends will come to family meetings in order to support you.
If you should have any other questions about treatment, please look up my IM or email address and feel free to contact me at either address. I would be happy to answer any type question you might have on recovery or treatment in general. God Bless Reggie
